In a lane of biodiversity

The site of puma rinri is magnificent. The cordillera Escalera in the northwest and the cordillera Azul in the South join where Huallaga digs its riverbed by forming in a deep canyon a spectacular cataract.

These two massifs constitute the last wrinklings of the big mountain range of South America. In the measure of the tectonic strengths which marked the formation of the Andes Cordillera and they set up themselves as immense balconies above the big Amazonian forest. On these mountainous were established big natural reserves to protect and restore the equatorial forests of mountain and the valley of Huallaga establishes between these two entities a lane of biodiversity.

We observe on the site, in a steep environment, 200 at more than 1200 meters in height, contrasted geological formations established by marine deposits characteristic of Mesozoic period and which appear under the quaternary grounds. Spectacular fractures and weaknesses show important geological upheavals.

Relatively plentiful rains (on average annual 1700 mm), an average temperature of more than 25° celcius and the hilly landscape favored the preservation of a dense and raised plant place setting. The amplitude of the relief, the pluviometric contrast observed between hillsides facing east or on the West allowed the appearance of differentiated well ecosystems in which the flora as the fauna are outstandingly diversified there.
